Announcement!!

Last episode we celebrated reaching 100 total listens to the podcast. Since then we’ve nearly doubled that. In short, we are growing. I want to let my appreciation be known to y’all and with the ramp-up in the audience, I have a few new things coming your way.

First, it is our website. Go check it out at https://johnmcwaters.show. (y’all are here!! nice!!) On that website I’ll be posting blogs, recipes, photos, and other fun things from my life and the life of the show. So keep your eyes on that. Going forward, it will also be the launch pad for all of my content.

We are also generating enough interest and buzz to attract sponsors. I want to keep the show growing, which requires funds. With that, there will be limited ads on the show. I don’t want to overwhelm y’all with BS ads, they will be minimal. Ideally, I would like to move away from ads and have a subscription model. I don’t think I have provided enough quality products to justify paid subscriptions.

That said I do have a new form of content I am super geeked about and I think y’all will be too. I am going to, in the nearish future, bring to y’all a series of limited-run collections about some of my favorite albums. There is so much meaningful music out there that has a complicated history and narrative, when understood, enriches the listening experience. I plan on doing three long-form episodes centered around each album, explaining the prelude, the album, and the aftermath. These take time to research, script, and record. So please have patience with me as we get that rolling.
